GD Media is delighted to be working with Blundell’s School, one of Devon’s best-known independent day and boarding schools, on a new monthly media partnership.
Set on the edge of Tiverton, Blundell’s has a beautiful campus surrounded by rolling Devon countryside, with historic red sandstone buildings that give the school a very distinctive look and feel. The school offers both day and boarding options, with full, weekly and flexi boarding available, creating a busy and varied school environment with plenty of stories to tell.
Our role will be to work with Blundell’s on a consistent monthly basis, building a strong library of professional photography and videography assets that can be used across their website, social media, marketing, admissions and wider communications. This will involve covering all aspects of school life, from everyday learning and activities through to key events, performances, celebrations and important moments in the school calendar. We will also be capturing the wider setting of the school itself, including its buildings, grounds and accommodation, helping to showcase not only what happens at Blundell’s, but the environment in which pupils live, learn and grow.
For a school like Blundell’s, consistent visual content is incredibly important. Parents, pupils and families want to see more than a prospectus or a handful of polished images. They want to understand the atmosphere, the opportunities, the facilities and the personality of the school. That is where regular photography and videography can make a real difference.
As part of this partnership, GD Media will also have exclusivity for the media coverage of student events, including proms, award evenings and other key occasions. These are the moments that matter to pupils and families, and they deserve to be captured professionally, respectfully and with the right attention to detail.
We know from experience that school photography and videography requires a careful balance. It needs to be polished enough to support a school’s brand, but natural enough to feel authentic. It should show the facilities, the buildings and the big set-piece moments, while also noticing the smaller details that tell the real story.
As photographers and videographers working across Devon, Somerset and the wider South West, we’re excited to begin this new monthly partnership with Blundell’s School and look forward to helping them showcase the full depth of school life over the coming months.
