We recently spent a brilliant day with The Brambles Day Nursery in Taunton, updating their website photography and creating a promotional video to help showcase what makes their early years childcare offer so special.
As Somerset-based photographers and videographers, we always want our work to feel natural, honest, and useful. For a nursery, that means capturing the warmth of the team, the confidence of the children, and those small everyday moments that help parents get a real feel for the setting before they even visit.
One of the standout parts of the day was filming and photographing the nursery’s Forest School. This is such a strong part of The Brambles’ offer, and it gives children the chance to learn, explore, and develop in a natural woodland environment. Their Forest School approach is child-led, encouraging children to make choices, discover the world around them, take appropriate risks, and build positive relationships with nature, themselves, and others. The nursery also notes that Forest School is run by qualified practitioners and takes place daily, giving all children access to the benefits of outdoor learning within the safe grounds of the nursery.
From a content point of view, this gave us so much to work with. Children exploring natural materials, moving through the woods, engaging their senses, and simply enjoying fresh air all create the kind of authentic visual storytelling that works incredibly well online. It is exactly the type of photography and video that helps families understand the personality and values of a nursery.
For the video, we wanted to create something warm, welcoming, and easy for parents to connect with. Not overly polished or corporate, but professional enough to clearly communicate the nursery’s unique offer for early years childcare in Taunton. The same applied to the photography. The aim was to build a fresh set of website assets that feel current, natural, and full of life.
Projects like this are why we love working with schools, nurseries, and local businesses across Somerset and the South West. Good photography and videography are not just about making things look nice. They help tell the right story, build trust, and show people what makes a place different.
The Brambles Day Nursery has something genuinely special, and it was a pleasure helping bring that story to life.
