When TV presenter and tech speaker Jason Bradbury needed a fresh set of headshots and promo shots, he wanted images that matched his energy on stage and his long career in front of the camera. Best known as the host of Channel 5's The Gadget Show, Jason is now one of the UK's most sought-after keynote speakers on AI and future technology, working with brands like Vodafone, Samsung and Intel.
As a Somerset-based photography and content creation company, we specialise in professional headshots, promo shots and portrait photography for brands and professionals across the South West and further afield. This shoot was all about capturing the personality behind the presenter.
Jason wanted a professional set of headshots and promotional images to support his work as a speaker, presenter and content creator. The goal was twofold:
Speaker Profile – To give event organisers and agencies polished, up-to-date imagery for promoting his keynotes. Personal Branding – To build a library of images for his website, social media and marketing materials.
We chose a small independent theatre in Newquay, Cornwall, as the location. For someone who spends his working life on stage, it was a natural fit, and it gave us amazing backgrounds and real atmosphere, from the stage and seating to the warm, moody corners you just don’t get in a studio.
Because a theatre is a dark space with mixed light sources, we brought our own lighting to shape Jason’s face properly while keeping the mood of the room. We also took time to chat and let Jason relax, so his natural humour and energy came through in front of the camera.
Classic headshots for speaker profiles and press use. Promo shots using the stage, seating and theatre backdrops. Relaxed, natural moments captured between the posed shots to show Jason’s personality.
Post-production focused on subtle retouching, keeping Jason looking like himself while enhancing colour, contrast and the atmosphere of the theatre.
Capture the person, not just the picture – the best headshots show who someone really is. Lighting makes the difference – it’s what separates a professional headshot from a quick snap on a phone. Location adds character – the right setting can tell part of the story before a word is read.
At GD Media, we believe headshots and promo photography should do more than look good. They should give people a real sense of who you are. Whether you’re a speaker, presenter, business owner or creative, we’d love to help you tell your story through imagery.

Brand film, social content, an event, a drone shot you can’t get any other way — give us the brief and we’ll tell you straight how we’d shoot it and what it costs. We’re a small, experienced crew, not the cheapest option in the county, and the work shows it.
