When Harrison Millar and Jade decided to get married in Las Vegas, they asked us to fly out and capture the day. From a small chapel by the Stratosphere to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign and the crowds of Fremont Street, we covered a wedding that moved up and down both ends of the Strip.
As a Somerset-based photography and videography company, we work with clients across the South West and further afield. This time that meant the other side of the Atlantic.
The goal was twofold:
Capture the Day – Photograph and film an intimate ceremony and the moments around it. Capture Las Vegas – Use the city’s best-known spots as the backdrop to Harrison and Jade’s wedding.
Planning started well before we flew. We packed our cameras, lenses, batteries and cards to travel as hand luggage, and kept the rest light. We mapped out the day around three locations at opposite ends of the Strip, with time built in for travel, queues and changing light.
The ceremony in a small chapel down by the Stratosphere. A group photo at the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, worked quickly between the queues of visitors. Couple’s wedding photos in the hustle and bustle of Fremont Street. Moving the kit and the wedding party between both ends of the Strip in one day.
In post-production, we kept the colours bright and true to the city while making sure Harrison and Jade stayed the focus of every frame.
Harrison and Jade received:
A full gallery of edited wedding photos. Wedding video of the day [Rich to confirm what was delivered]. Images of their day at some of Las Vegas’s best-known spots.
Plan the travel – getting the kit there safely is half the job on a destination wedding. Work with the location – busy places like Fremont Street need patience and quick decisions. Keep the day moving – good timings let the couple enjoy their day instead of waiting around.
At GD Media, we’re happy to travel for the right story. If you’re planning a wedding at home or abroad, we’d love to hear from you.

Brand film, social content, an event, a drone shot you can’t get any other way — give us the brief and we’ll tell you straight how we’d shoot it and what it costs. We’re a small, experienced crew, not the cheapest option in the county, and the work shows it.
